Two years at the local vo-tech, running actual printing presses. Best education of my life. Don't sleep on tech schools.
Then Oklahoma State for my BFA, plus the history and marketing behind design. Somewhere in there I became a full-blown Apple Fan Girl™. Apple noticed and made me their Campus Rep.
After graduation I packed my most precious belongings (cat) into a VW Beetle and drove to San Francisco. Quick job at Apple. Then the iPhone launched, and I jumped to a startup building iPhone apps. That startup merged with a Facebook apps company in Seattle, and Seattle kept me.
I helped launch South Lake Union's Art Walk with a great crew. Then I designed at Amazon. When COVID hit, I taught Production 101 at PNCA, then went freelance and never looked back.
Everything I make for you is made by me. Human-made, no clip art and no generative AI. I never upload client work to AI tools, which protects your copyright and mine. Generative AI features are turned off in my Adobe software.
Behind the scenes, I use Claude as a studio manager for business admin.
